This stunningly beautiful advertisement featured film-quality cinematography and a dynamic soundtrack featuring contemporary and traditional compositions. The dramatic imagery and music seamlessly presented the National Palace Museum's notion that the "Old is New." This dazzling piece of filmmaking drew us in quickly and kept our attention; by the end, we were excited to see more of what the National Palace Museum had to offer.

The mission of the National Palace Museum is to protect and preserve the 7000-year cultural legacy of China with advanced technologies. In this ad, "Old is New NPM Image Advertisement," contemporary computer music fuses the ideas of life and cultural aesthetics from a thousand years ago with modern technology to provide a perfect, new model for interpretation, which successfully impresses people with the new atmosphere from the ancient national treasures. Certainly, the heritage from our ancestors is not only familiar with our life, but it is also aesthetic, imaginative, and fashionable.

國寶活起來故宮形象廣告獲金獎



老字號國立故宮博物院在前館長石守謙任內,去年首度為宣傳65萬多件瑰麗館藏,拍攝第一部正式形象廣告,首戰告捷,日前勇奪二○○六年美國博物館協會「繆斯獎」(AAM MUSEAward)推廣宣傳類金牌獎。     故宮這次得獎的形象廣告,取材自故宮墨寶宋代「花氣薰人帖」,是特別委託曾獲金馬獎最佳紀錄片的導演彭文淳以及曾獲亞太廣告首獎的異言堂創意團隊所承製長達一分半鐘的影片,歷經將近一年的前置作業與提案策劃,並由本土電子音樂創作者林強重新詮釋演出。濃厚的人文氣息與現代感的視覺語言貫穿其中,宣示故宮八十週年整裝出發的核心概念:「OLD is NEW」。當這首典雅小詩搭配電子節拍的微醺音符,以河洛閩南古語吟唱出來時,千年前黃庭堅的書法意境就鮮活地翻飛重現在螢幕之上了。

The Media and Technology Standing Professional Committee of the American Association of Museums is pleased to announce the winners of the 2006 MUSE Awards recognizing excellence in all varieties of media programs produced by or for museums. Now in its seventeenth year, the MUSE Awards competition received 108 applications from a wide variety of museums in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. This year's entries included videos, films, DVDs, CD-ROMs, interactive handheld tours, podcasts, blogs, Web sites, audio tours, and gallery installations. This year we are presenting 6 gold, 6 silver, 6 bronze, 12 honorable mention, and 1 special MUSE Award among seven categories. Thirty judges—museum and media professionals from across the country—were involved in the process of selecting the winners. The 2006 MUSE Awards competition would not have achieved its goal and mission without the tremendous effort, commitment, and service of these judges.

    廣告中濃厚的人文氣息與現代感的視覺語言貫穿其中,宣示故宮80周年整裝出發的核心概念:「OLD is NEW」。當這首典雅小詩搭配電子節拍的微醺音符,以河洛閩南古語吟唱出來時,千年前黃庭堅的書法意境隨之鮮活地翻飛於螢幕之上。

    根據大會評審的意見,這部廣告影片得獎原因,在於短片極唯美,呈現了電影的質感,並將傳統與現代有變化的音效做了完美的結合。具有劇情的意象及音樂,充分而精準地傳達故宮所要彰顯的「OLD is NEW」理念,能很快吸引觀眾注意,進而對故宮的未來充滿期待。

    傳統與現代 完美的結合

    美國博物館協會American Association ofMuseums(AAM) 成立於1906年,為美國博物館與博物館間專業的非營利性法人組織,今年恰好是一百周年,配合4月27日在美國波士頓舉行的年會,盛大舉行繆斯獎頒獎典禮。

    「繆斯獎」(MUSE Awards)隸屬於美國博物館協會的「媒體與科技專門常務委員會」,今年為第17屆,總計收到來自北美洲、澳洲、歐洲、亞洲等地108個參賽作品,競賽項目主要是針對博物館界所設計研發或製作出來的多媒體產物,如影片、數位影音光碟、唯讀光碟、網頁、語音導覽、及展區設置等進行評選。

觀念裝置作品
希臘神話中缪斯是9個女神,是所有藝術工作者靈感來源的象徵。
在自然界中有一個界於病毒與細菌的臨界點的微生物種 – MINI VIRUS,作者挪用這種微生物的特質,設計了一個存在人體的舌頭,心臟,腦神經組織中的病毒 – 缪斯病毒,擁有特異性體質者會引起缪斯熱 – MUSE FEVER.
藝術家邀請特定領域 – 媒體,畫廊,私人收藏家,企業,作為MUSE 病毒的9個宿主,藉由邀請上述宿主贊助作品參與展出的方式,隱喻藝術產業機制中的生態鏈。
「認識MUSE病毒」的宣傳手冊,內容以插圖&文字描述MUSE 病毒的傳播途徑和藝術家邀請贊助人參與作品計畫磨合過程的精神狀態,陳列在9位贊助者所贊助製作而成的金色展示架自由取閱,透過觀眾觀眾的互動,試圖呈現藝術家們的精神勞動在脫胎於複雜的藝術產業之後是如此「輕而易取」。
